ImgWrench is a free Discord sticker maker: drop in an image and get a 320×320 PNG, or drop in an animated GIF and get an animated APNG — the format Discord needs for moving stickers — checked against the 512KB limit.
How to make a Discord sticker
- Drop your image or animated GIF into the tool above.
- If it isn't square, choose Contain, Cover or Crop.
- Check the size badge. If an animated sticker is over 512KB, click Compress.
- Download the sticker, or several as a ZIP.
Uploading to Discord
Custom stickers come with Server Boosting. Once your server is boosted, owners and admins can upload them under Server Settings > Stickers on desktop. Discord also asks for a matching emoji and lets you add a description for people using screen readers.
Design tips
- Fill the square. Stickers sit alone in chat, so use the whole 320×320 area.
- Use transparency. A transparent background lets the sticker float on the chat. APNG keeps soft edges that GIF would lose.
- Keep animations lean. Short loops with fewer colours fit under 512KB more easily.
- Preview where it counts. Check animated stickers in Server Settings > Stickers > Upload, not by sending them as files.
